Gaurav Barot is an experienced software architect and PMP-certified project manager with more than 12 years of experience. He has a unique combination of experience in enterprise resource planning, sales, education, and technology. He has served as an enterprise architect and project leader in projects in various domains, including healthcare, risk, insurance, media, and so on for customers in the UK, USA, Singapore, and India. Gaurav holds a bachelor's degree in IT engineering from Sardar Patel University, and has completed his post graduation in IT from Deakin University Melbourne.
Mahipalsinh Rana is currently chief technology officer (CTO) of Inexture Solutions LLP. At Inexture, he specializes in enterprise searching, Python, Java, and ML/AI. He has 15 years of experience. His stint with search technologies started in 2010 when he started working with Solr. He then started working with Elastic and has done various large-scale implementations and consultations. At the start of his career, he worked for Sun Microsystems, where he worked on internationalization (i18n). He likes exploring emerging technology trends such as NLP and intuitive searching for e-commerce. He plans to develop a search engine for people who are still in the early stages of technological advancement to provide them with information at ease. He has also worked on Liferay Beginner's Guide by Packt.
Samir Bhatt is an Enterprise Architect with over 12 years of IT experience. He has been working on Liferay-Portal-based solutions for the last four years. He has co-authored a book, Liferay Beginner's Guide by Packt Publishing. He is also a Liferay certified trainer and has delivered public and private training across the world. Samir leads an architectural group at CIGNEX Datamatics. He extensively worked on performance tuning of Liferay-Portal-based solutions. Apart from Liferay Portal, Samir has also worked on many other technologies and frameworks including Hadoop, MongoDB, Pentaho BI, Oracle, Java Swing, ICEfaces, ZK, Spring, Hibernate, and Visual Basic.Samir is also a very good speaker and has delivered various webinars on Liferay, Pentaho BI, and MongoDB. Sandeep has been working in Liferay technology for more than 8 years and has more than 10 years’ of overall experience in Java and Java EE technologies. He has executed projects using Liferay across various verticals such as construction, financial, and medical domains, providing solutions for collaboration, enterprise content management, and Web content Management systems.



He has created a free and open source Google Chartlet plugin for Liferay which has been downloaded and used by people across 90 countries according to sourceforge statistics. Besides development, consulting, and implementing solutions he has also been involved in giving training on Liferay in other countries. Before he jumped into Liferay he had experience in Java and Java EE Technologies.



He has authored "Liferay Beginner’s Guide" and "Instant Liferay Portal 6 Starter" with Packt Publishing.



When he is not coding, he loves to read books and travel.
He started implementing Spring MVC portlets in Liferay 4.3.1 in Februray 2008. He has four years experience with Liferay portal technology. He has worked on 14 projects that use the Liferay portal framework. His positions have been Liferay developer, senior consultant and project architect. He is familiar with technologies used in Liferay including Hibernate, Spring, Ehcache, Struts, JSF, ICEfaces and Vaadin API. He has implemented web service and configured websites using the latest version of Liferay portal.
